Lulus Chicken Coop

Once Upon A Time...

Lulu the clown popped up in 1995 as part of Joyful Jesters, a clown group of ministry disciples of the Lord.
After unleashing an old clown personality, Lulu the clown started performing at various churches and, eventually, all over the Milwaukee area.
Lulu also participates in many civic events including the Milwaukee 4th of July parade and Al's Run. She's made people laugh at Children's Hospital, various nursing homes, birthday parties, and at corporate gatherings with apperances at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Milwaukee and the Airforce base at General Mitchell International Airport.
Lulu is also a part of Jolly's Clown Group, one of the largest in Milwaukee.
While working for Joyful Jesters Lulu has taught seminars that allow people to experience the life of a real clown. These seminars give people an informative and hands-on-approach to clowning. Everything from face make up to magic tricks are taught.

Friends & Laughter Are All Part of the act!

Working as a Christian clown has helped Lulu develop her character and her pesonality...she's one fun-lovin' gal!
In performing with Joyful Jesters Lulu is just one of many clowns that puts on a show-stopping performance. Achieving the level of excellence in entertaining the audience is only made possible by including the audience in the act! Everything from singing and dancing to creating the illusion of magic and all while "clowning around" make the shows unbelievable. Lulu is aided by her pet chicken "Goober". Although not involved in some of the show antics Goober can usually be seen with Lulu off stage meeting and greeting fans. To be sure, Goober is no ordinary chicken.
When Goober is cluckin' and struttin his stuff, he brings smiles and brightens hearts instantly.
Bongo is another clown who performs with Lulu. Together these two will knock your socks off and keep you rolling on the floor with laughter.

The Lowdown on Lulu's Attire!

Here's a quick rundown on Lulu's attire. There's a daisy on her hat which is from her mother's funeral. She loves butterflies and has one at the top of her hat! Then there's the orange chicken feet because after you own a pet (Goober has orange feet) for a while you begin to look like them! Goober, by the way, resides in a chicken bag which Lulu always carries with her. She has a patch on her clothes that has the picture of corn on it - it's a corn patch! And, of course, we can't forget Lulu's size 70 overalls...because she's a country girl!

Nothing ever seems to go right for Lulu!

In Lulu's performances, problems always pop up, but those are the funniest parts of the act.
For example, Lulu hears Bongo say she will make a quarter disappear in a yellow "bandana". Lulu says she can do that, too. But, she pulls out a yellow "banana" and proceeds to turn her magic trick into a messy, squishy banana frenzy!
In her acts, she tries to convey the message that "Eventhough things may go wrong, you should always have a happy heart."

Being silly is a huge responsibility!

Lulu brings laughter to the crowd and joy to everyone watching her performances. But it's not all fun and games! Lulu, as well as the rest of Joyful Jesters, plans each performance and does extensive preparations for each big show.
Even before Lulu steps onto the stage every last detail of her outfit must be in place and all props must be ready to go!
When it's showtime, everyone is waiting and watching so it's very important that the show goes as planned. If something doesn't go right while performing, such as if a line of dialog is forgotten, or if someone does something out of the ordinary Lulu can be spontaneous, as long as the audience gets a laugh!
